Full day coverage is recommended for couples who want the early part of their day documented to include getting ready, a first look and couples portraits, and immediate family photos off site. Because Foreign Cinema has a specific arrival window and space constraints, any formal family groups not completed off site are typically done in the main dining room during cocktail hour.

If you’d prefer maximizing your time during cocktail hour enjoying the party with your guests, I’d recommend choosing the Full Day Coverage.

I would recommend the Essentials Coverage for folks with just a handful of formal family portraits requested and don’t mind using some of their cocktail hour time to capture them.

I think people freeze up or feel uncomfortable when a camera is pointed at them because they think they’re supposed to strike a pose, look a certain way, or perform for the camera. 

I believe in letting people be who they are, continue living in the moment, and not change themselves for the sake of a camera. So when we spend time taking some couples portraits, it’s more about spending quality time together before the ceremony; it might look like taking a stroll and hanging out together while wearing really fancy clothes. 

At the same time, a classic portrait where you’re both looking toward the viewer is great, too. No need to be overly romantic if that’s not your thing. I’ll provide just enough guidance and direction for some beautiful, timeless portraits without making it feel stiff.

I shoot exclusively on digital cameras - it works well with my process and workflow to be able to capture those decisive moments in all sorts of lighting conditions. Additionally, I only work with cameras that have the ability to record every image to two separate memory cards at once. That means if ever one card were to fail, your photographs are already backed up on the second. 

Your wedding gallery is typically delivered 4-6 weeks after the wedding. For a full day wedding you can expect at least 450 final images, or 50-75 images per hour of coverage.

Images are delivered as high-resolution JPG files available to download through your online gallery.

You have full personal usage rights, including printing and sharing.

I photograph nearly all weddings as a single shooter by personal preference, allowing for a smaller media footprint and a more unobtrusive presence throughout the day. For some weddings, a second photographer can be beneficial depending on your locations, timeline, and priorities. I’m happy to help you decide whether one would meaningfully add to your coverage.

I always bring multiple cameras and tools to any event that can’t be replicated.

I work with professional digital cameras that have 2 memory slots in each so that in the rare case that a memory card fails, a second copy is secure.

Alongside making sure to back up your photographs, I also make sure never to leave my gear in my car unattended.

This is a very serious situation, and one I do not take lightly. I would never want to leave a couple without a photographer on one of the most important days of their lives.

In the event of a serious illness or medical emergency, I have a trusted network of experienced photographers I can turn to - people I would confidently have capture a wedding in my place. That said, my work and reputation mean everything to me, and it would take something truly extreme—like a hospitalization or major physical injury—to prevent me from being there.

I take every precaution to stay healthy and in top form leading up to a wedding, and in all my years of photographing weddings, I’ve never missed a wedding nor been late to one. Should I ever need additional support for physical reasons, I would discreetly arrange that without impacting your experience.

Not a problem at all! I don’t charge extra for image privacy. Just let me know your preference during the booking process.

Travel is included for weddings and sessions within about 2 hours or 90 miles from Sacramento

For anything a bit farther out, I may add a travel fee to cover drive time and mileage.

If the location requires an overnight stay (usually if it’s 2.5+ hours away or has an early start), I’ll add a flat $300/night lodging fee.

For out-of-state or flight-required weddings, I’ll send over a custom travel quote based on what’s needed.
