WEDDINGS AT FOREIGN CINEMA
ANNIE HALL PHOTOGRAPHY PRICING & FAQ
It’s your wedding day, not my photoshoot.
I believe that your love, community, and connections take center stage on this day, and there is nothing better than getting to live this day fully present, without manufacturing moments for a camera.
If you want your day to be about people…
If you want an honest account of what it was all about…
If being present is better than making it perfect…
I think I might be a good fit for you.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Engagement Session: $1100
A casual and relaxed session, usually starting in your home and neighborhood. We’ll get to know each other better, you’ll see what it’s like to be around me and my camera, and we’ll come away with photographs that celebrate who the two of you are together in this time in our lives. The session is focused on your candid interactions with each other along with a few easy, classic portraits sprinkled in.
Engagement sessions are about 90 minutes and include 60-80 final high-res photographs in a mix of B&W and color delivered within a 2 week turnaround time.
The Night Before: $1500
Coverage of your rehearsal dinner or welcome party the evening before the wedding. Getting to know your closest family and friends and having your guests recognize me as a familiar face will allow me even greater access on the wedding day.
Includes 2-3 hours of coverage and about 80-100 final high-res photographs in a mix of B&W and color, delivered with your full wedding gallery. Travel and accommodations included within most San Francisco Bay Area.

So whether you’re getting a print, a frame, or an album - know that I’ve done the work of finding the best your images deserve.
“Annie, we spent all night curled up on the couch, going through all the photos and slideshow. We can’t thank you enough for how beautiful and thoughtfully you captured all our moments. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and for bringing out everyone’s personal touch.
We knew it would be good but this was so far beyond what we could have imagined.”

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Being a documentary wedding photographer doesn’t mean I won’t interact with anyone or not take ANY portraits or group photos. It means your experience won’t be interrupted for the sake of a photograph, that the images made for you come from organic moments that are not fabricated or manufactured by me.
Your wedding day is about love, community, and connection - not about photos. We’ll craft a simple photo timeline that reflects your priorities - quick, classic portraits and family photos before the ceremony so you can enjoy the day fully.
-
Of course! Family portraits are still important historical documentations, likely one of the rare times everyone is together and dressed to their best, and probably the photographs you’ll first turn to when sending someone a print. I’ll photograph the list of family photos you give me quickly and efficiently so that they are easy and painless for everyone.
-
Nearly all of my clients say this, you’re not alone :)
When it’s time for classic portraits and family photos, I’ll guide you to the best light, offer natural, simple directions, and keep it brief so you feel comfortable and at ease. No fake laughs or forced serious faces needed, and no need to spend hours away from your guests.
The wonderful thing about weddings is that it doesn’t need to revolve around photography. Live into your day and be present, and the photographs will simply reflect that.

Because I’m always searching for that decisive moment, I shoot digital for weddings so I don’t miss a beat.
Alongside making sure I avoid those half-blinks or half expressions by being able to take multiple images of the same scene, my workflow currently works best with modern gear that is flexible in all types of lighting conditions and that have the ability to write data in two separate cards for redundancy. I’m able to back up the images further on hard drives once I get home as well, and I am not at the mercy of the postal system to handle your images.
Regardless of the medium, do you like the end result and the way my photographs make you feel?
-
Your wedding gallery is typically delivered 4-6 weeks after the wedding. For a full day wedding you can expect about 450-600 final images.
Images are delivered as high-resolution JPG files available to download through your online gallery.
You have full personal usage rights, including printing and sharing.
-
I photograph nearly all weddings as a single shooter as a personal preference, and my clients appreciate the smaller media footprint this leaves at their event and allows me to blend in well to get those candids.
There are times when adding a second photographer is beneficial to your coverage, such as:
1. You’re getting ready in two different locations and want coverage of each side at the same time.
2. You’ve invested heavily into the details and design of your wedding and want to ensure those are captured comprehensively.
3. Your timeline has a lot going on, and you prefer not to see each other before the ceremony.
Talk to me about your vision and hopes for the wedding, and I will help you decide whether your coverage would genuinely benefit from a second photographer.
-
Yep! I have loads of back up equipment, and equipment and liability insurance as all professional photographers should have. If your venue needs me to send a COI, just let me know ahead of time.
-
This is a very serious situation that I do not take lightly. I would never want to leave my couple without a photographer on one of the most important days of their lives. While I have a network of trusted photographers I could turn to to cover for me if serious sickness / medical emergency should happen to me, my work and reputation is very important to me. Only death or complete physical injury preventing me from leaving a hospital bed would prevent me from showing up to your wedding. I take major precautions to make sure I am in tip top shape to photograph your wedding. I can proudly say that in my 11 years of photographing weddings, I have never missed a wedding. And if I needed extra physical help, I would make arrangements without impacting your experience.
-
If you cancel the wedding, you will forfeit the retainer that held your date. If you are postponing due to circumstances beyond your control (such as 2020), you can transfer your existing retainer to a new date, as long as I am available for the new date.
-
In order to reserve your date, I need a signed contract and a 50% retainer. Everything is done easily online through a booking portal.
